Report: Jurrion Dickey no longer part of Oregon football program, joining Diablo Valley College

Wide receiver Jurrion Dickey is no longer a part of Oregon‘s program. He is transferring to California JUCO Diablo Valley College. The program has Dickey listed on its roster.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning initially announced he’d suspended Dickey from the team on Aug. 12. Dickey reportedly had violated several of Oregon’s team rules.
“We’ve got two team rules: be respectful and be on time,” Lanning said. “There are some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us, and we needed a break from him, so we can focus on what’s in front of us right now. Wishing him nothing but the best as far as success, and I want to see him get back to where he could be a contributor.”
Dickey played high school football at Menlo-Atherton (CA), where he was a five-star prospect. In fact, Dickey was the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
As a true freshman in 2023, Jurrion Dickey appeared in five games for the team. He took a redshirt as a result, with his lone statistical activity coming in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl against Liberty, a single catch for seven yards.
He was more involved as a second-year player in 2024, appearing in 10 of Oregon’s 14 games. Once again, Dickey finished the season with one catch for seven yards. Despite Dickey’s underwhelming statistics from his time at Oregon, other Power Four teams may be willing to take a chance on the previously highly touted prospect.

After all, Dickey has the athleticism to succeed against elite competition. On3 director of scouting and rankings Charles Power provided a rave review of Dickey when he was a prep-level prospect.
“Physical, productive receiver with a well-rounded skill set. Owns a thick, filled out build, checking in at around 6-foot-2.5, 215 pounds,” Power wrote. “Also has long arms with a 6-foot-6 wing-span, which manifests in a large catch radius. Strong in every phase of the play.
“Bullies wide receivers off the line and at the top of his routes. Attacks the ball at the catch point and shows strong, reliable hands. Tough to bring down and maximizes after the catch. Has good play speed and clocked multiple electronically timed sub-4.6 second 40-yard dashes.”
On Saturday, Oregon will square off against Northwestern at 9 a.m. PT. The game will air live on FOX.
