Oregon transfer LB Jaeden Moore commits to Pittsburgh

Former Oregon linebacker Jaeden Moore has committed to Pittsburgh, via the NCAA Transfer Portal. Moore spent two seasons with the Ducks.
In the 2024 campaign, Moore made five appearances for Oregon, recording two tackles, six passes defended and 0.5 sacks. Moore saw limited action during his true freshman season, only logging two tackles.
Jaeden Moore played high school football at Central Valley Christian (CA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 848 overall recruit and No. 71 EDGE in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Moore chose Pitt over Virginia Tech, Michigan State and Nebraska in the transfer portal. He is the seventh player the Panthers have added via the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. The team has also lost 18 players to the portal, causing them to land at No. 57 in On3’s 2025 Team Transfer Portal Rankings.
The 2024 campaign was a tale of two halves for Pitt. The Panthers began their season their season 7-0 before finally falling to SMU on Nov. 2. Pitt continued to spiral downward, losing its next four regular season games and suffering a 48-46 loss to Toledo in the GameAbove Sports Bowl.

Now, with players like Moore joining their roster, the Panthers will look to recapture the magic they’d discovered in the first half of the 2024 season. After Pitt’s season-ending loss to Toledo, Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi delivered a reassuring message.
“We’re gonna worry about taking care of our football team in here, making sure we’re good on the way home,” Narduzzi said. “Make sure guys get on their flights where they’re going, take a deep breath. But I’m not worried about all that stuff. We got a really good football team, and I like where we’re at right now.”
The transfer portal officially opened on Dec. 7 and closed on Dec. 28, though players on teams still playing in the postseason will get an additional five-day window to enter the portal after their seasons end.
