Jace Posey, son of NBA champion James Posey, commits to TCU

Houston (Texas) Strake Jesuit four-star recruit Jace Posey tells On3 he has committed to TCU.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is the son of three-time champion and 12-year NBA veteran James Posey. He is now currently an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards.
Posey chose the Horned Frogs over George Mason, Arizona State, and Vanderbilt. He also received offers from Memphis, Miami, DePaul, and Texas A&M. He is ranked as the No. 107 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
Posey on his commitment to TCU
“I chose TCU because I felt like I had the best relationship with them, out of all the coaches I’ve talked to,” Posey said to On3. “I love the energy they gave me. I’m ready to get to know them on a more personal level and see them on a day-to-day basis when I’m on campus. I felt like it’s the best place where I can succeed, athletically and academically.”

“TCU was my second offer,” Posey recently said in an interview with On3. “I’ve been talking to them consistently for the longest and I’ve enjoyed the journey. I enjoy talking to the coaches and players. I like the feel of their community and I feel like I can advance academically there also.”
What type of player is TCU getting in Jace Posey?
“They’re getting a player that plays hard, a player that is a good teammate, an athletic freak, someone who can play above the rim, someone that can knock down shots, and just a good kid in general.”
Posey has a message for TCU fans.
“I’m excited to get on campus and excited to meet new people, build new relationships and I’m excited to play for the community.”
