Miami guard Paul Djobet plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball guard Paul Djobet is planning to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He averaged 5.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists for the ACC program over the course of the 2024-25 season.
All told, Djobet spent two seasons with Miami. He originally came to the Hurricanes as a three-star recruit out of Arlington Christian School (Fairburn, GA), according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Moreover, Miami ultimately finished its 2024-25 season 7-24 overall, including a 3-17 record against ACC competition. Their record in ACC play earned them last place in the conference standings, and were one of three teams to miss out on the ACC Tournament, along with NC State and Boston College.
The college basketball transfer portal is now scheduled for 30 days during the spring of the 2024-25 academic year. The portal will open after the second round of the NCAA Tournament and conclude before the end of April. Moreover, athletes would still be given a 30-day window to transfer after a head coach’s departure.
