The City of College Station has reportedly dismissed the disorderly conduct charge filed against Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss, according to a report from KBTX. Moss was arrested early on Sunday morning.

According to a College Station Police Department arrest report, officers had observed Moss threatening a bystander. When they approached, the officers attempted to join Moss’ friends in stopping him from harming the stranger.

The de-escalation attempts continued before Moss was eventually arrested. The police report didn’t reveal what may have provoked Moss, but acknowledged he was seen “speaking aggressively” with others in the area that were speaking to a female companion of his.

Le’Veon Moss was released later that Sunday, July 13, on a $300 personal bond. Cameron Reynolds, the attorney for Moss, confirmed to KBTX on Thursday that the city has opted not to move forward with the charge.

“The State of Texas, through the College Station City Attorney’s Office, after a careful and timely review, has rejected the case for prosecution, and Le’Veon is happy to have his good name cleared,” Reynolds told KBTX. “We will promptly seek to expunge his arrest.

“Le’Veon is a hardworking student-athlete, set to graduate from Texas A&M University in December, and looks forward to an outstanding upcoming football season for the Aggies.”

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko had also commented on Moss’ arrest. He provided a statement to Carter Karels at GigEm247.

“We are aware of the situation regarding Le’Veon Moss and will handle the matter internally,” Elko said.

Moss has spent the past three seasons with the Aggies. In 25 appearances in his career at the school, he has 244 carries for 1,363 yards and 16 touchdowns.

That includes what was a career-best season for him in nine starts last fall as a junior, where he had 121 carries for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 85.0 yards per game and 6.3 per carry.

Le’Veon Moss was Texas A&M’s leading rusher and a selection to the All-SEC Second Team. However, he had a season-ending injury in a loss on Nov. 2 at South Carolina which kept him out of the final four games.
