Four-Star WR Raymond Cottrell flips from Georgia to Texas A&M

Four-star wide receiver Raymond Cottrell of Milton (FL) High flipped his commitment from Georgia to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-2, 210 pounder had been committed to the Bulldogs since November 2021.
Cottrell on why he chose the Aggies
“The people man.. that atmosphere is crazy. I believe that Texas A&M has one of the best coaching staffs in college football. It’s just a work in progress. Also I wanted to play with Evan Stewart excited to learn from him, and the other receivers that are also up there. I’ll be the 5th scholarship player there, and that gives me a chance to come in and make a impact off rip. Texas A&M is just all around great.”
Relationship with coaching staff + A&M’s plan
“I’m closest to coach Coley,” Cottrell said. “That’s my guy. He was still recruiting me when I was committed to Georgia. He’s one of the smartest coaches I’ve ever talked to and he coached the best and he told me from his mouth ‘Ray I wanna coach you let me coach you’. And I had to understand it. It took me 3 months to figure that out. They have no receivers and they took a chance on me playing ball as a freshman for him, and I’ll forever be humble and grateful for that.”
