Report: Three Texas A&M women's basketball players arrested on marijuana possession charges

Three Texas A&M women’s basketball players were arrested on possession of marijuana charges Wednesday, according to KBTX. Maliyah Johnson and Kyndall Hunter were charged with possession of marijuana in an amount less than two ounces.
Officers at the College Station Police Department responded to multiple calls early Wednesday morning about people inside a car playing loud music and smoking marijuana at Holleman Crossing Apartments. They arrived to find Johnson and Hunter, as well as fellow Aggies basketball player Kayla Green in the car.
Officers learned they were members of the Texas A&M basketball team upon speaking with them and Johnson admitted there was marijuana in the car. A search revealed a tied off plastic bag with weed inside.
Johnson and Hunter have both since posted a $2,000 bond and were released from jail.
Of the three players, Johnson and Green saw the most playing time this past season. Green appeared in 31 games with nine starts to average 2.7 points and 2.3 assists per game. Johnson played 29 games with one start to average 3.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
