Texas wide receiver Agiye Hall was arrested Thursday night for allegedly damaging a parking boot. The former Alabama wideout offered his first comments about the situation on Twitter Friday afternoon.

After Inside Texas’ Joe Cook reported Hall’s arrest for criminal mischief, a Twitter account tweeted a video about the situation and Hall’s transfer to Texas. He received high praise during training camp and was seen as a potential impact player for the new-look Texas offense.

Then, after reports surfaced about the details of the incident and Texas coach Steve Sarkisian announced Hall would be suspended indefinitely, Hall responded to the tweet.

“Been comin for my car since i got their [sic],” Hall responded.

Police took Hall into custody Thursday night for criminal mischief between $100 and $750. He reportedly damaged a $600 parking boot, according to the Austin American-Statesman’s Brian Davis.

Also Friday, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian announced the punishment. Hall has been suspended indefinitely, Sarkisian said in a statement.

“We’re aware of the situation involving Agiye Hall, have talked with his family, and have suspended him from all team activities for conduct that is detrimental to our program,” the statement read.

Hall transferred to Texas over the offseason after starting his career at Alabama. Just prior to his decision to enter the transfer portalNick Saban suspended Hall for a violation of team rules.

“He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they’re academic or whatever, it doesn’t really matter,” Saban said at the time, via AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “Everybody has a responsibility and obligation to respect the principles and values.”

The next day, Hall entered the portal and ended up committing to Texas on April 19. He was the No. 35 transfer to hit the portal this offseason, according to the 2021 On3 Transfer Portal Rankings.
