Glen Powell passionately defends Arch Manning, makes bold guarantee in quasi-recruiting pitch

Glen Powell is an Arch Manning believer. The Texas super fan and actor has an inside look at the Manning family due to his role in the upcoming Hulu series ‘Chad Powers’ which he produced alongside Peyton and Eli, as well as stars in.
He defended their nephew while also making a bold claim for any recruits who may be listening. Powell believes the sky is the limit with Arch Manning under center.
“His first start at The Shoe at Ohio State, a hell of a program, that’s a tough way to come into that position,” Powerll said on NFL Live ahead of the show’s premier. “I get to spend a lot of time in Austin. I’m very familiar with the program. Arch has the capability to bring Texas to a natty.
“Mark my words, by the way. If Texas wins a natty this year, I think we’re going to go on a dynasty run. There’s no reason people should not be coming to Texas. [Austin] is the greatest city in the world, one of the most prestigious teams, nobody looks bad in burnt orange. “
Texas has been criticized for it’s offensive capabilities ever since losing to Ohio State 14-7 during Week 1. With Arch Manning being the conductor of the offense, he’s getting the brunt of the backlash.

Since the opening loss, Manning has led Texas to three straight victories where he’s thrown for 718 yards and eight touchdowns compared to two interceptions. Set to begin SEC play against Florida on the road this Saturday, Manning and the Longhorns will have to put the non-conference slate behind them if they want to find themselves in Atlanta after the regular season.
“I’m a big believer in this program and the future of it,” Powell said. “I think Arch has what it takes. He’s not overthinking anymore. It really feels like he’s going to be meeting his receivers in time without having to think too much,” Powell continued.
“Just the nature of how anyone comes to that first snap is really unfair. It’s an Instagram/TikTok culture. The noise is defining. No one has ever had to navigate that. I commend him for figuring it out week by week. But with any great quarterback, you’ve got to quiet the noise and play the game.”
That effort will begin on Saturday in Gainesville. Manning and company can’t look past the Gators, though, despite the Red River Rivalry looming in Week 7.
