Kerry Joseph was one of the greats at McNeese State
During his college football playing days with McNeese State, he led them to a 43-10 overall record and two Southland Conference crowns during his four seasons as a starter. Joseph was one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever don the blue and gold. Once he hung up his cleats there, he was the all-time leader in touchdown passes and the second in career passing yards and total offense. In 2006, Joseph was inducted into the McNeese Sports Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Southland Hall of Honor in 2012.
He finished with 7,874 passing yards, 67 passing touchdowns, and 9,674 yards of total offense. A few of the awards he won during his college football playing days were Louisiana Collegiate Player of the Year, McNeese MVP, and Louisiana Amateur Athlete of the Year.
