Texas lands commitment from 6-10 center and Austin native Coleman Elkins

The University of Texas has landed a commitment from Coleman Elkins, a 6-foot-10, 230-pound center in the 2026 class, according to his agents at WEAVE.

Elkins, a native of Austin, is spending his senior year of high school at Blair Academy in New Jersey. He previously attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal in Austin, Texas. During his junior season at St. Andrew’s, Elkins averaged 15 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Along with Texas, Elkins received offers from Northeastern, Indiana State, Maine, and others.

Elkins becomes Texas’ third commitment in the 2026 class. He joins four-star SG Bo Ogden (No. 34 NATL) and four-star SG Joe Sterling (No. 104 NATL).
