Vince Young shouts out Arch Manning after fifth touchdown: 'Love those legs'

Vince Young took to social media to shout out Arch Manning after his fifth touchdown of the game. The star quarterback scampered his way into the end zone on a 20-yard run to give Texas a 31-point lead.
“We love those legs, champ! #16 Hook’Em,” Young posted on X, following the play. It’s evident he’s proud of the way Manning has responded in Week 2.
Young has a ton of love for Manning, and this isn’t the first time he’s publicly voiced his support for the Longhorns quarterback. Over the summer, the legendary Texas signal caller joined Up & Adams with Kay Adams, where he stated his belief in Manning’s “it” factor.
“I like that he has his own swag,” Young said. “He has that ‘it’ when he walks into the room. Everybody knows who he is. I love that about him because he’s not one of those guys that’s kind of similar to me. He’s not big-headed; he is just so humble that it’s to the point that he doesn’t pay attention to that. He pays attention to just having fun with his teammates, being goofy, dancing.
“I was throwing the ball the other day on the football field, and he came out there like, ‘Old man, can you still throw it.’ I was like, ‘Boy, you better watch your mouth, man.’”
As you can tell, Young is a staunch supporter of Manning, even after his subpar showing against Ohio State in Week 1. That had many jumping off the bandwagon of the superstar recruit, but there’s bound to be a ton of people wanting to get back on after Saturday’s performance.

More on Arch Manning, Texas Longhorns
Moreover, Jordan Rodgers was vindicated by Manning’s play in Texas‘ season-opening loss to Ohio State. Still, the SEC Network analyst is hopeful for the future of the young signal-caller.
During an appearance on Get Up earlier this week, Rodgers took some time to evaluate Manning’s performance in Columbus. It wasn’t pretty, but the competition was staunch — despite past criticism, the ESPN pundit believes there’s something there with Manning.
“There were still plenty of opportunities for Arch to hit big plays. The problem was his eyes were on the wrong read at times, or he wasn’t patient enough to let it develop. A lot was left on the table,” Rodgers stated.
“Arch is going to be good. He just needs time to develop. He’ll win the way his uncles did—between the ears. It just takes time to develop that.”
