UCLA wide receiver Kyle Ford has entered his name into the transfer portal.

Ford spent four seasons at USC and graduated with the Trojans. That was before he transferred a year ago and came to UCLA just a few days later.

In total, Ford made 24 appearances, including a pair of starts, at USC. Then, in 2023 with the Bruins, he appeared a dozen more times with two more starts to his name.

Ford has 62 catches in his career for 873 yards and six touchdowns.

During his lone fall in Pasadena, Ford caught 22 passes for 236 yards and a score. That included a season-best game in their LA Bowl win over Boise State where he had five catches for 33 yards and his one touchdown.

Ford played high school football at Orange Lutheran in California where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 34 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 6 WR in the class and the No. 3 player in the state behind only EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux and WR Bru McCoy.

UCLA lost some players to the portal this cycle due to coaching change with Chip Kelly going to Ohio State. Ford is the 13th departure from the program. He is the eighth offensive loss as far as transfers as well as the fifth wide receiver to exit.

As for additions, though, DeShaun Foster has nine players coming in through the portal. It is a defensive heavy group of transfers besides WR Rico Flores Jr. (Notre Dame), OT Michael Carmody (Notre Dame), and K Mateen Bhaghani (California). They come together to make up the No. 55 class in the transfer portal according to On3’s 2024 Team Transfer Portal Rankings.
