The college football world has had all eyes on Pitt transfer Jordan Addison since he announced his intentions to enter his name into the transfer portal last week in the days leading up to the May 1 deadline. There has been lots of speculation on where Addison could play next season, but one school has been at the forefront of the conversation since the moment he entered the portal: USC.

Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams is certainly familiar with the situation.

Details emerged last week highlighting potential Trojan involvement in recruiting Addison before he entered the portal. Pitt alleged that USC recruited Addison away from their school with a possible NIL deal before he made his intentions official.

The top schools in the nation quickly flocked to the former Pitt star wide receiver. Addison currently leans 100 percent toward USC on the On3 Recruiting Prediciton Machine, but has ties with Alabama and Texas as well.

Texas remains in the thick of Jordan Addison recruitment

Addison is going to have a long list of suitors after entering the transfer portal on Tuesday. There aren’t many, if any, programs that wouldn’t want the nation’s top wide receiver if given the opportunity. Alabama and USC have been names linked early on but per a report, a Big 12 contender is in the thick of it.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has already acquired some top pass catchers this offseason but is reportedly still going to make a run at him. Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports said the Longhorns are a team to “keep your eyes on” and there is a chance the talented wide receiver ends up in Austin.

Addison already has a connection with the program, with Brennan Marion. The now Texas wide receivers coach spent last season with him at Pittsburgh, helping him win the Biletnikoff Award. Marion, along with Sarkisian, will surely be the leaders in trying to bring Addison and add to their already explosive offense.

During their one year together, Addison and Marion were able to put together quite the season. Addison had 100 receptions for 1,593 yards. If the two were to rejoin forces in Austin, Addison would be considered the best of an already stacked Texas wide receiver room that includes Isaiah NeyorJordan Whittington, and Xavier Worthy.
