On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors USC for OT Josh Conerly Jr.

USC is set to host four-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. next weekend. But the Trojans have already taken a major lead in his recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
After an expert prediction from WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader, USC’s chances of landing Conerly have jumped all the way to 83.6 percent. Oregon sits in second at 6.5 percent with Michigan and Washington trailing behind.
Conerly is the No. 40 overall prospect in the 2022 class, the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 1 player in Washington. He is also one of just two elite 2022 prospects — along with the recently reclassified Lebbeus Overton — who has yet to sign with a school.
USC will be Josh Conerly Jr.’s final official visit
The 6-foot-5, 283-pounder took an official visit to Oregon last weekend and has already taken officials to Michigan, Oklahoma and Miami.

Earlier this week, Schrader wrote that he expected this to ultimately come down to two teams, and that he believes Conerly will stay on the West Coast.
“I think it’ll come down to two schools, and based on the information I’ve gathered — whether it’s people that are close to him at his school or sources I talk to at USC — I think it’s going to be hard for him to leave the West Coast. I think USC is in a great place as they get ready to host Josh for his final official visit. Think it’ll give him an opportunity to spend time with Josh Henson, the new offensive line coach, for the first time and really get a feel for what USC has to offer as a program. It will also give him a chance to see options for Name, Image and Likeness.”
Conerly is expected to make his decision at the end of this month and will likely enroll at his chosen school this summer.
