More on JT Daniels, early performance vs. Pittsburgh
Daniels is reconnected with Harrell, with the two previous being together at USC. Just a true freshman at the time, Daniels was thought to be the next great Trojan quarterback. However, an injury at the beginning of his sophomore year caused him to enter the transfer portal and go to Georgia.
Now at West Virginia, the hope is to put up big chunk plays on a consistent basis.
Thus far against Pitt, The air-raid offense has lived up to its name this far, with West Virginia wanting to throw the ball deep. Of course, not every time has been successful but the offensive coordinator is proving to not be afraid of the Pitt secondary.
West Virginia still has a long way to go but early in the second quarter, the Backyard Brawl is going swimmingly.
