Powerful, high-effort edge prospect with good size and a foundation of play strength, working back into football after a year away. Did not play as a junior, opting to focus on baseball, and returns as a senior at a high school program that annually produces college prospects. Listed at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds with very good size for the position and good mass throughout his frame. Already carries good weight, with room to keep filling out in a college strength program and a build that could get up to around or over 240 pounds with time. Lines up primarily at defensive…
Top Attributes
- Point-of-attack strength - Motor and pursuit - Size and frame with room to grow - Physicality and effort
Areas to Develop
- Get-off and first-step timing - Pass-rush arsenal and hand usage - Accumulating film and game reps
Film Review Notes
Powerful edge defender who wins with strength and effort in a limited early sample. Strong at the point of attack, with the power to occupy blockers, set the edge, and hold up against double teams. More of a straight-line power rusher at this stage who flashes early glimpses of bend around the corner and a budding swim move. Get-off and first-step timing are still developing, which makes sense for a player fairly new to the edge after a year away. Runs well and triggers downhill when he sees an opening, and the play strength to corral ball carriers looks ahead of the curve. Motor runs hot, chasing plays from the backside and seeking out contact, with pursuit reps standing out most on his early film.
