A smooth, controlled vertical threat at receiver, with the tracking ability to win downfield. Measured at 6-foot-1, 166 pounds at an offseason camp in February following his junior season. Top Attributes
- Vertical separation and ball tracking - Route running and double moves - Burst off the line
Areas to Develop
- Adding mass to a lean frame - Timed speed - Catching away from his frame over the middle
Film Review Notes
Controlled, savvy route-runner who wins downfield with separation and tracking. Lines up outside and in the slot, firing off the line to stack defensive backs and tempoing his routes vertically. Creates separation at all three levels and understands leverage, winning on double moves and finding soft spots against zone. Tracks the ball over his shoulder on verticals and extends to catch away from his frame, though he lets it into his body at times over the middle. Shifty with the ball in his hands, sticking his foot in the ground with a nasty juke and some play strength. Timed speed sits in the 4.8 range, but the play speed shows better. More of a tracker than a contested-catch winner for now.
