O'Cyrus Torrence, a former On3 Consensus three-star recruit, made a major impression the moment he joined the Louisiana football program in 2019. He didn’t start the first game of the year, but after an injury, he entered the starting lineup and didn’t leave it. He was the first freshman to start on the line at the school in 15 years. He held his spot the next two seasons and thrived, emerging as one of the best players in the Sun Belt. When Billy Napier left Louisiana to take the job at Florida, Torrence entered the transfer portal and ended up following his coach to Gainesville. He is the son of Demetrice Torrence and Fred Porter. Demetrice nicknamed her son “Cyborg” as a child. Torrence was majoring in environmental science at Louisiana.
