Five-star QB Faizon Brandon signs exclusive deal with Leaf Trading Cards

Last season, quarterback Faizon Brandon led Grimsley to an undefeated 16-0 record and their second state championship in three years. For his final high school football campaign, winning another state title before attending the University of Tennessee will be the five-star prospect’s priority.
Playing at this rate should earn him numerous endorsements and partnerships once he officially joins the Volunteers. However, before even playing a snap for the six-time National Champions, Brandon has an exclusive deal with Leaf Trading Cards.
The reigning North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year for high school football shared in a video posted of Leaf’s X/Twitter account, “I never would have thought that I would have my own trading card. So, it’s such a blessing. It really is a dream come true.”
During his junior year, Faizon Brandon completed 76.3 percent of his throws for 2,159 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. He also added 564 rushing yards and eight touchdowns to help the Whirlies secure 11 victories at home and five on the road.
Grimsley capped off the season with 35-23 win over Rolesville to capture the North Carolina Class 4A state championship. This achievement made them the top team in the North Carolina On3 Composite Team Rankings for the 2024-25 season. Meanwhile, Brandon has a 97.3 On3 Industry Ranking

As Mt. Tabor head coach Tiesuan Brown said, “Faizon Brandon is always in total control of the game. He never sweats the small things, and he’s a great leader on and off the field.” Brown is spot on because in addition to his excellence on the football field, Brandon maintained a 3.83 GPA.
In Leaf’s video, Brandon said about chasing excellence, “Knowing that other people coming for my spot. That’s what drives me to work out hard every day. That’s my motivation, to keep on working hard. Every rep that I have, I do it to the best of my abilities.”
Likewise, Faizon Brandon volunteered to the Under the Bridge Project to support the homeless people, the Kiser Middle School Tiger Mentoring Program, and the DJ Reader NFL Football Kids Camp. Brandon also supports his school’s cleanup projects.
