Florida commit Will Griffin's younger brother making waves as an 8th grade QB

Could we be seeing another Griffin in the making become the next big standout at the quarterback position? When looking at the 2025 spring game of University of Florida commit Will Griffin’s brother, Jack, it would be hard to argue against that notion.
Jack Griffin, a Class of 2030 prospect, is already impressing folks this summer as he heads into his 8th grade season at Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg, FL.
Though last season the younger Griffin saw limited time under center for the Mustangs, the signal caller showed flashes in the spring against Tarpon Springs that he’s plenty capable of commanding a varsity offense.
The 2030 quarterback threw a touchdown against the Spongers and is expected to become one of the top passers in Pinellas County this fall. Last season for the Mustangs, Jack completed 6-of-11 passes for 48 yards as a 7th grader.
Will played at Northside Christian as a 7th and 8th grader before transferring to Tampa Jesuit, throwing for 2,495 yards and 30 touchdowns between the 2020-2021 seasons. For his varsity playing career, Griffin has thrown for 9,765 yards and 106 touchdowns.

Jack has been invited 8th Grade Under Armour All-American Game, one that his older brother got to take in on the national end this past January. Will competed as a junior in the 2025 Under Armour Next All-America Game completed 11-of-22 passes for 82 yards.
The older Griffin last took the field in the ‘Battle at Bryant’ jamboree played at Lakeland’s Bryant Stadium against the 9-time state champion Dreadnaughts. Griffin led Jesuit to a 30-17 victory over Lakeland, finishing the contest completing 23-of-37 throws for 300 yards and two touchdowns.
Folks will get their first chance to see the younger Griffin take the field this 2025 season in kickoff classic action when they face the St. Petersburg Hollins Royals before going on the road to take on the Hudson Cobras.
