Gainesville (Ga.) HFC Santavious Bryant's pay bump revealed
It was pretty well known that one of the appeals to Gainesville Red Elephants (Ga.) head coaching position was the pay bump whomever took over the position would get.
Now according to a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jack Leo, that very information was revealed on how much new Red Elephants’ head coach Santavious Bryant would be making.
Per Leo’s report based on information gathered via salary data through an open-records request, Bryant is set to earn a total overall salary of $120,602.16. The report states that Bryant’s package is broken into three increments , which include his base salary of $71,370.79, coaching supplement of $42,000 and extended-day pay of up to $7,231.37.
Bryant’s salary was believed to be just under $70,000 when he was at Grayson, which would mean he received a 71 percent pay increase taking the Gainesville job, vacated by Josh Niblett, who was making $175,706 as of the 2024 Georgia high school football season.
In Bryant’s three seasons as the Rams’ head coach, he has compiled a 37-5 record and led Grayson to the 2024 Class 6A state championship.
