Illinois High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 24

The postseason continued in the Prairie State last week, and another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Illinois high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Nov. 24.
1. Mount Carmel Caravan
The Caravan continued their perfect run after defeating Fremd in the Illinois high school football Class 8A state semifinals. The 21-point first quarter proved to be the difference for Mount Carmel. The Caravan will play Oswego in the Class 8A state championship game on November 29.
2. East St. Louis Flyers
The Flyers advanced to the Class 6A state championship game after a 50-7 domination of St. Laurence. They did most of the damage in the first half, scoring 37 points. East St. Louis will face Fenwick in the title game on the 29th.
3. Brother Rice Crusaders
The Crusaders will compete for the Illinois high school football Class 7A state championship after defeating Downers Grove North 45-17. Brother Rice will play St. Rita for the title on the 29th.
4. Lincoln-Way East Griffins
The Griffins’ season ended with a loss to Mount Carmel in the Class 8A quarterfinals. Lincoln-Way East finished the 2025 season at 9-3, with their other losses coming against Naperville North and Carl Sandburg. With their schedule over, QB Jonas Williams (USC), EDGE Jacob Alexander (Illinois), and WR Blaise LaVista (Washington) will proceed to college football.

The Broncos advanced to the Illinois high school football Class 4A state championship game after beating Morris 47-27. Montini Catholic will play Rochester for the crown on November 29.
