The unthinkable has happened: Marion Local (OH) 76-game winning streak has finally come to an end.

In an Ohio high school football region final, St. Henry defeated Marion Local, 24-7, on Friday night. With the loss, the Flyers winning streak that had dated back to Oct. 30, 2020 when they lost to New Bremen, 35-28.


Back on Sep. 5, Marion Local narrowly got by St. Henry in a 21-14 victory and then later in the month beat Versailles in a 20-19 thriller. 

Marion Local was taking aim at winning a 17th state championship this season in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division VII classification.
