New Jersey High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Nov. 16

New Jersey high school football for the eighth consecutive week continues with Don Bosco Prep Ironmen as the No. 1 ranked program out of the Garden State as the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) playoffs rage on.
The major matchup taking place this week is when the state’s top two teams, Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic square off to see who will move on in New Jersey’s Non-Public Class A postseason. Who else made the cut in the 11th set of the Top 25 rankings out of New Jersey?
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest New Jersey high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Nov. 16.
1. Don Bosco Prep Ironmen
The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (10-0) moved on to the Non-Public Class A semifinals after a dominating 42-7 win over Seton Hall Prep, setting up the much awaited rematch with Bergen Catholic.
Can the Ironmen defeat the Crusaders for a second time this season? If they want a spot at Metlife Stadium for the state title, they’ll need to do so.
Don Bosco Prep opened the season with a 14-10 win over Melissa (TX) and followed it up with another out-of-state team in Monarch (Fla.), defeating the Knights 38-21 at home. The Ironmen soundly defeated St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) a couple few ago, 28-0. The Ironmen a few weeks ago faced No. 7 ranked DePaul Catholic and came away with a convincing 47-15 victory.
2. Bergen Catholic Crusaders
The last time the Bergen Catholic Crusaders (8-2) have lost two games or more was 2019. Since then, the Crusaders have averaged just one loss a season but that changed as they lost a heartbreaking, 43-42 overtime game to St. Joseph Regional a few weeks ago.
Now Bergen Catholic will get a chance to avenge one of those losses when they take on top-ranked Don Bosco Prep this week in a Non-Public Class A semifinal for a chance to go to the state championship game.
The Crusaders have had themselves a doozy of a regular season opener when they defeated East St. Louis (Ill.) at the Battle at the Beach Classic in Ocean City. Bergen Catholic followed up that with another impressive win down in South Florida, defeating West Boca Raton (Fla.), 21-14.
Bergen Catholic started the postseason off hot with a 56-14 win over Saint Joseph.
3. St. Joseph Regional Green Knights
St. Joseph Regional (8-2) moved up the rankings once after they defeated Delbarton, 35-0, to open up the Non-Public Class A quarterfinals in the opening round. Now they’ll take on No. 6 St. Peter’s Prep in the state finals for a chance to reach a state title game.
The Green Knights got things rolling this 2025 season when they traveled down to the nation’s capital to face St. John’s College High coming away with a 34-19 win to kickoff the season and then followed it up with a 48-0 victory over Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.).
The Green Knights feature one of the most talented secondaries around, led by Tennessee commit KJ McClain.
4. Hun School Raiders
The Hun School (7-3) closed out their 2025 regular season with a 50-21 thrashing of St. Thomas More (CT).

Well look who has made their way inside of the Top 5 for the first time this season as Winslow Township (10-2) opened up the state playoffs with a dominating wins over Shawnee (47-7) and
Millville (53-13).
