As the 2025 high school baseball season approaches its home stretch, the top teams are likely competing for state championships. After dominating most of their opponents, they would like to end their campaigns by adding trophies to their collection.

That said, here are the top 25 high school baseball teams in the nation based on Perfect Game USA’s list. Florida leads the list with seven schools, while California follows with five. Texas and Louisiana have three apiece, while Georgia, Washington, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Arizona, and Alabama have one each.

1. Corona

The Panthers lost only two of their 28 games. They lost to Venice in the semifinal of the National High School Invitational and 1-0 to the Santiago Sharks. Despite those defeats, Corona’s fight continues in the CIF Division 1 Southern Section. Corona will face Los Osos, a team they’ve defeated in their season opener, on May 20.

2. IMG Academy

The Ascenders lost only once in 25 games, a 7-6 nailbiter against South Walton. Since then, IMG Academy has won 15 consecutive games to close the season. Florida’s top high school baseball team didn’t lose a game at home and completed seven shutout wins.

3. Etowah

The Eagles ended their season at 34-4 after losing to North Paulding, Houston County, and Lowndes twice. Losing to Lowndes ended their fight in the semifinals of the Georgia high school baseball Class 6A state tournament.
