The Wisconsin high school football season is three weeks in and the picture of who the top teams are across the Badger State is becoming a lot clearer. From powerhouse programs with rich traditions to promising underdogs looking to make a statement, here are the Top 25 teams in Wisconsin, according to Massey.
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
1. Arrowhead Warhawks
Arrowhead Warhawks (3-0) enter the 2025 season looking to win their first state crown since 2013 and have started off fast with three straight wins. The Warhawks have done a lot of their damage on the ground with a stable of running backs.
Jacob Siner (32 carries, 283 yards) was the driving force behind Arrowhead’s offense last season and he’s back for his senior season. Western Michigan wide receiver commitment Harper Hughes (four catches, 33 yards) will try to make things easy for new quarterback Nolan Hanson (31 of 48 passes, 427 yards).
2. West De Pere Phantoms
Jumping up to the second spot in this week’s rankings is West De Pere (3-0) after they defeated Southwest 49-6 and their offense is playing as well as any in the state of Wisconsin.
The Phantoms are currently averaging 45 points per game this season behind the play of quarterback senior quarterback Patrick Greisen, who has completed 47 of 69 passes for 734 yards and 11 touchdowns. Ryan Lutz is leading the ground game for West De Pere, with senior tailback rushing for 425 yards and five touchdowns.
3. Waunakee Warriors

The Warriors’ defense has been one of the best in the state, only yielding 19 points through the first three games.
Waunakee is looking to return to the top of Wisconsin high school football mountain top for the first time since 2021 and they’ll need a solid campaign from starting quarterback Cole Krause. The 6-foot-2 signal caller passed for 243 yards in 2024. This week the Warriors will take on No. 22 Sun Prairie East.
4. Muskego Warriors
The Warriors (2-1) started off last season with a 3-3 record before going the rest of the way 6-2, with Muskego losing to Bay Port, 25-18, in the Division I state championship.
