York Comprehensive High School (YCHS) is a public high school located in York, South Carolina, serving grades 9 through 12. As the sole high school in York County School District 1, it accommodates approximately 1,525 students with a student-teacher ratio of 17:1. The school campus, situated on Alexander Love Highway, is designed to hold up to 1,800 students. YCHS offers a comprehensive curriculum and a variety of extracurricular activities, including a robust athletics program. The school's colors are black and gray, and its mascot is the Cougar.
