Ament in the Bama Game

I had to work last night and just had an opportunity to watch the Bama game. I had avoided Volquest and social media so I wouldn’t ruin knowing the result. I then check in here and have close to 30 people calling me out for previously ridiculing Ament’s poor play and calling him a bust. As a fan, I want Tennessee to win. And, as a Tennessee fan, I want our highest NIL player on campus to be successful. So yesterday was awesome. He looked like a different player. And I hope this is who he is for the remainder of the season. To the obnoxious dorks who think they “got me” or something by him stepping up and playing well, you didn’t. I stand by my criticisms, because they were objectively true. And with new information, that opinion may change. I hope it does. But the reality remains, this is an unranked basketball team and is so in large part to Ament’s poor play. Your stupid “you’re an idiot” campaign says much more about your ridiculous low expectations than it does about my analysis of the team’s play thus far this season. Flame away, ding dongs!
