I think it’s built into their NIL to throw shade at lane during the player interviews

I get it. It's a rivalry too but it felt like a subtle dig at him (probably a fair one) but lets not pretend he wasn't about to follow Kiff to LSU before all the stuff that went down lol. Hope everybody gets their comments in now bc we keepin' receipts...

tough spot to be for Trinidad for that question. Don’t really have an issue with his response

“I much prefer the guy that recruited me here over this drunk coaching me now”. yea I don’t know what he was supposed to say

Idk. Just be ready for comments like these until September 19th. I know that I will regret these words, but I’ll gladly take 9-3 if we get to beat them.

You already know they’re trying to sell that game to the max. I’m just glad he gets to play so no excuses will be made

They are trying to prop up Pete so bad. I’d Imagine Dottery and Prince would have stayed at OM if they really believed in Golding lol

Literally 2 of their best defensive players which happens to be what drunk Pete coaches left and followed the head coach who happens to coach offense. Hmmmm….

Did we expect him to say he liked Lane more? No. But there’s definitely better responses he could’ve spit out. This came off as a shot. Saying a coach isn’t a team guy. Lol

Im as excited about Kiffin as the next guy but if his history is any clue, he has kind of shown not to be a "team" guy. Hes literally bailed on 2 programs in very high profile, less than ideal, circumstances. The first, with recruiting violations out the ying yang left in his wake while attempting to purge as many recruits as possible on the way out and the 2nd in the midst of a playoff run while also purging as many as he could from their roster. Doesn't really scream "team" guy. Not in the sense its used in most cases. Most certainly not to the fans and players of the teams he bailed on. Hence a former player using that description. Makes sense from that perspective.

Especially since his new HC was Kiffin's DC. In other words, how much coaching of Chambliss does Mississippi's hc actually do?

Business is business. You won’t get anywhere worrying about what others think. Football or any other business, you leave for better opportunities. That door will close so you have to take it whether it’s the best time or not. You also always try to bring your best people with you. It’s life. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about the team. He fought hard to stay with his guys through the playoffs. Trinidad knows that. He’s taking shots.

Exactly good guys work for successful people who are willing to make the tough, unpopular choices

Let's see what he says following the season when he did not have Weis and Lane coaching him up. I think he is in for a massive letdown this year; he may not even finish the year as the starter.
