I was against hiring an offensive HC, but honestly Drink has proven over and over that he can get the ball to his play makers regardless of position. And he’s proven he can win games. I don’t hate the hire.

Same, also while he's making almost 9 mil a year, his buyout is only 5M(would be 4M by Dec 2025). So he'd be gettable, with Auburn ties.

Drinkwitz earned his start at the collegiate level on staff at Auburn University, serving as the offensive quality control assistant (2010) and offensive graduate assistant (2011) for two seasons. The Tigers won the SEC in 2010 before going on to claim the BCS Championship with a perfect 14-0 record. Quarterback Cam Newton won the prestigious Heisman Trophy that year after completing 185-of-280 passes for 2,854 yards and 30 touchdowns while throwing only seven interceptions. Are you serious? There isn’t a college football coach in the country that wasn’t a GA at some point. It’s part of the process. You continue to get dumber every post. Your intelligence level is at an all time low with this one. I’ll ask again, outside of being a glorified waterboy at Auburn, why would he want to come to this complete disaster of an athletic department?

Would be an absolute homerun hire. A guy that's done what he's done at Mizz, bring him on. Can recruit, knows X and O's, defense will be legit, shown his offenses are extremely formidable as well.

What about the Athletic Dept is a disaster? They've given Hugh every resource possible and full control. EVERY coach would crawl on glass naked for that.

Auburn was paying Gus top 10 money in CFB btw, Freeze's contract is less because of his past. We'd absolutely match that, and more, easily. (if he wanted to make it work).
