Giving what they're paying Weis and Smith, safe to say they'll overpay for players. And if they way overpay someone, they'll take the money. I'm saying if the money is close. And we'll have to prioritize.

The real question is LSwho gonna offer two mil?? I think KL made a lil over 800k last year

Lacy will get NIL money outside of Ole Miss Grove Collective

If I am Lacy and the money is close I am going to LSU. I know I can have success in Kiffin's system I do not know what Baker's system will look like for me. I fully expect him to be at LSU next year If I am Chambliss and the money is close I am staying at Ole Miss I know I will have the inside path to the starting job and am already comfortable here

I wouldn’t rule out Texas and Texas A&M in this Lacy bidding war

Bakers system actually better for Lacy if he studies game film. Not as many inside A gap runs and a lot more short passes to get him outside. Running backs take a lot of hits on inside runs. Limiting that would be key for Lacy if he’s smart enough to get the idea from watching the difference in play calls Baker uses.

But Lacy has confidence he can do it in Kiffin's system that is what I am saying to him Baker is a unknown and I could easily see him taking something he is familiar with over a unknown matter of fact I expect it.

I hope Chambliss stays but I feel like we could develop Simmons if he stays. Simmons has all of the tools to be great. We also have others on the roster and I'm sure we could find a good QB in the portal. Honestly, we have been spoiled for the past 20 years with great QBs: Manning, Wallace, Kelly, Patterson, Corral, Dart, etc....

I don't believe the $2 million figure being thrown around for any running back, even Lacy. Someone will have to prove me wrong. Sure, his agent is probably putting that number out there, but I don't think the collectives are offering that.

At this moment there’s 100 percent chance chambliss isn’t at Ole Miss next year.

I would look at the offensive lines for both teams. If ours remains intact, choose us because there’s was awful!

I just don't think that the players all view it this way, unfortunately. The most telling sign was Lacy in the McAfee video. He likely knew that Kiffin was departing earlier than some of us. I think it may come down to $, depth chart, and whether or not he wants to be part of the "brand" of LSU/Kiffin and how strong his relationship is to Smith. The Trinidad question to me seems more complex. If granted the waiver, I don't see him going to LSU, but I could also see him going elsewhere just as much as staying at OM. I also wonder if he would see that OM might be able to give him just as much NIL "opportunities" as other places - like the ATT commercial.

There is value in not letting your hated, permanent opponent rival take your superstar coach, QB and RB. If it means we have to overpay a little to send a message, then we should do it. It also sends the right message that we reward our returning superstars.

Not disagreeing but this year was going to be a rebuilding year and look where we are.

Rebuilding year? Why? The front 6-7 on defense is mostly back. A couple of good pieces in the secondary are back. Bring in a few key portal transfers and the defense can be VERY good. The offense has the interior returning on the OL and a couple of very promising young players. Really good WRs on roster. Two very talented RBs, redshirt and true freshman. Pick up a key starter or two and depth at OL in portal on OL. Think WR transfer history — Watkins, Pearson, Tre Harris, Stribling, Wallace and TEs, Prieskorn and Wright. If Lacy goes with Smith, Wilson will likely bring in good transfer too. Chsmbliss is the key on offense. Don’t see him going to Lsu. If TC doesn’t get TR or is not here in ‘26, remember he was a TR just like Dart was a transfer. Trust PG and the new staff the attraction of Ole Miss to players seeking a transfer.

Offensive rebuilding. The defense comes back almost intact. We had to rebuild both this year.

Yancy , not any of y’all’s fault , but y’all have missed on about every prediction of who was leaving for LSU it is what y’all heard so I don’t blame yall I mean Ben said good chance Charlie and Smith would stay then they weren’t lane took the entire offense staff , GM, strength coach and many analysts and assistants so assume many key players go to at this point from the offense he seems to have some kind of hold in these people money is certain and perceived prestige and they must just like the unethical jerk since they have years invested with him I mean our marquee players sound just like our coaches that left with the non response responses you would Chambliss of all people would be as public as possible all in ole miss not a word

He has publicly said he loves and appreciated Joe Judge. If he gets his waiver, I think that becomes the difference. IMO.
