How do you know what goes on behind the scenes? Sounds to me like he played it conservative for 2 years because we were on probation which could save us from harsher sanctions. Fact is we don't know. And can we wait and see if it can be fixed. People will leave who are going to leave. And just because they enter the portal does not mean they are leaving. Just a ploy for more money. Think positively

I actually think that they insanely gave the loser a two-year pass. I know it's almost unimaginable but with the way things are going there certainly doesn't seem to be any urgency around the program. It might be a ploy to rationalize and sell the second year. 'He has shown progress and needs a second year to fully realize what he has started.' I can almost hear it right now. ps: please don't shoot the messenger.

I am comforted by the fact that Doak now has 50 new stadium seating experiences, for a mere $265 million. That $138 million FOF is also really keeping the players at FSU. All kidding aside, I'll be interested to see what FSU does in the portal.

They spent the TBE money. They used the whole 20.5M in revenue share. There was no probation impact. Indeed, there was no impact to have last year becuase there were no rules to violate. Last year was the legal wild Wild West. We were rumored to have spent top 15 money last year. Apparently the issue isn’t what we spent, it’s where/how we spent it.

How do we not have a GM yet?

Mikes proven he can’t fix it he’s a loser and players see it. No GM in place what the hell are they waiting for every other team seems to be able to hire people. We get burned by a DB coach whose brother is on the staff. Only way to salvage next season is coming up with 12-15 million for portal players and giving Mike zero decision making powers.

What, our whole team is entering the portal. We are a 4 win team now… and we have a very hard ACC schedule in ‘26. 4 may be generous. F2

It is just so sad to see the ineptitude of the entire program from top to bottom…how have we fallen so far so fast? The BOT and the President need to get involved and find us the best leaders possible because those we have are not getting the job done.

Football = bad Basketball = bad Overall sports program = FSU dropped to 28th for the '24-'25 year (and 7th in the ACC). FSU has not finished that low for 20 years, which was before FSU had a massive overall athletic facilities upgrade under Dave Hart. Note: FSU was #5 nationally in the Director's Cup in '09-'10 and then again in '11-'12 and usually hovers top 10-15. If we are judging football coaches by wins and losses, then should we be judging our AD by the fact that both our two revenue sports are awful and the overall athletic program finished lower than it has in 20 years? I think it is entirely possible Alford doesn't know what he is doing. I am guessing he know to raise money through boosters and finish construction projects, but the athletic department has taken a massive slide during his tenure.

You are looking at "reported" numbers, not the actual numbers. Giving family members jobs paying ridiculous salaries, etc... We are not anywhere close to the big boys and that is clear.

The buyout crushed any plan they may have had. If not for the huge buyout he would have been gone long ago. Top Boosters were not willing to shed their money so this is where we are. I expect he will get fire next year with $40M buyout. And who knows what kind of coach we will get. We are at a crossroad and when we make a change will determine our future for the next 3-5 years.

This is the problem. Stadium seating experiences? What is a seating experience? You put you fanny in a seat and root for the home team. What other experiences are you looking for. If you want something else leave. What I don't want is some drunk next to me spilling beer. We have gone so downhill since 1990 it is insane. FOF, what an outdated joke. Not keeping anyone at FSU. Not one person. Wouldn't having $138 million in the hip national bank be better than a dumb building that no one is needing except for the ego of a bad coaching staff.
