Fun fact: Tim Corbin makes the freshman earn the right to use the locker room/wear vandy baseball gear. He mostly does this because they cut 3/4 of the guys the sign out of highschool before the spring, but they don’t get to use the locker room all fall

I would put good money on Sumrall being a great hire. I’ve heard him speak before and know a lot of folks in the Troy ecosystem. They absolutely adore the guy. Very good football coach and leader.

Old school you get a no logo helmet until you earn it. Just wait until that 1st kid says, as long as my check cashes, you can keep logos. 😂

To me it’s the Nick Saban effect. Every coach wants to sound like Nick Saban. From “the process” to “the standard” to “earning it. It all just sounds forced and disingenuous.

He might be. My family are all gators and a good portion are bull gators, they’re pretty happy about him. Doesn’t make this any less goofy IMO.

I think my issue with it is, what has Sumrall done at UF to wear the Florida across his chest? I’d be a lot more impressed if he applied that rule to himself and his staff as well.

He was pretty good at Tulane. He has not shown anything elite yet though.
