After a convincing 9-2 win over Oklahoma State, Texas had advanced to the championship game and will play Oklahoma for the Big 12 title. The Longhorns beat the Cowboys to begin the tournament, sending them to the losers-side of the double-elimination bracket. From there, Oklahoma State fought back to play Texas again and won the rematch early on Saturday, forcing one last game to decide the winner from their half of the bracket.

Texas won the rubber match, and will play the Sooners in a game set for 5 p.m. ET.

Oklahoma earned their trip to the Big 12 championship earlier in the day. The Sooners held off Kansas State 4-3 in the double elimination round on Saturday.

Jimmy Crooks helped lead the Oklahoma offense with a big day, going 2-for-4 with two RBI on the day. Oklahoma now awaits the winner of Texas vs. Oklahoma State, which starts at 4 p.m. CT.

For the first time, the Big 12 Baseball Tournament is being held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Traditionally, Oklahoma City has been the host city but the conference made a change this season. Only eight teams will be making the trip, as last-place Kansas will not be participating. Iowa State does not have a baseball program either.

In the top half of the bracket, TCU is the No. 1 overall seed and is joined by Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Texas. Texas Tech headlines the bottom half, as Kansas State, Oklahoma, and West Virginia rounds out the entire bracket.

Three different programs have won the Big 12 Baseball Tournament over the past three years. As the NCAA Tournament approaches, teams will be looking to gain momentum and push for a couple of championships.
