The college basketball season is winding down and conferences are getting ready for conference tournaments. The Pac-12 is no different. So, with a little help from playoffstatus.com, here is a look at the current Pac-12 standings, the tournament schedule, upcoming games, and more.

Current Pac-12 standings

So, first, let’s take a look at the current Pac-12 basketball standings:

  1. UCLA, 23-4 (14-2)
  2. Arizona, 24-4 (13-4)
  3. USC, 19-8 (11-5)
  4. Arizona State, 19-9 (10-7)
  5. Utah, 17-11 (10-7)
  6. Oregon, 15-13 (9-8)
  7. Washington State, 13-15 (8-9)
  8. Washington, 15-13 (7-10)
  9. Colorado, 15-13 (7-10)
  10. Stanford, 11-16 (5-11)
  11. Oregon State, 10-18 (4-13)
  12. California, 3-24 (2-14)

This season, UCLA and Arizona have led the group in the Pac-12 throughout the season. Now, it looks like UCLA is going to be the top seed in the Pac-12 Tournament unless the Bruins suffer a late-season collapse. Realistically, if that collapse occurs, only Arizona and USC have any shot at catching UCLA.

Right now, UCLA’s magic number is three for that top spot. Nobody else controls its own destiny for the one-seed. However, the Wildcats do control their own destiny for the two-seed, where they have a magic number of two.

On the bottom end of the conference, there are several teams having very long seasons. Cal, at just 2-14 in conference play, is currently in 12th place. However, Oregon State and Stanford aren’t too far ahead of the Golden Bears. Right now, Cal can’t finish better than 10th, while all three of those teams could finish last.
