2025 Division I ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners revealed

As the 2025 Men’s College World Series comes to a close, the 2025 Division I Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners have been revealed.

Per abca.org, the Gold Glove Awards are presented annually by Rawlings and selected by the ABCA. These prestigious awards are chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division.

Since 2007, future MLB All-Stars catcher Adley Rutschman (Oregon State), catcher Will Smith (Louisville), shortstop Alex Bregman (LSU), shortstop Matt Chapman (Vanderbilt), catcher Yasmani Grandal (Miami), pitcher Sonny Gray (Vanderbilt), outfielder A.J. Pollock (Notre Dame) and future Hall of Fame catcher Buster Posey (Florida State) have been ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners.

Catcher: Caden Bodine (Coastal Carolina)

Bodine is one of four Gold Glove recipients to be key members of 2025 Men’s College World Series teams. The 2024 All-Sun Belt Second Team selection was the best defensive catcher in the country this season, making 544 putouts with 46 assists and just one error (.998%). He allowed just two passed balls all season and caught 18 runners stealing.

On the offensive side of the ball, Bodine hit for a .325 average with 18 doubles, five home runs and 42 RBI.

First Base: Mulivai Levu (UCLA)

The Huntington Beach, CA native made 517 putouts and 51 assists with just one error (.998%) for a UCLA Bruins team that won a game in the Men’s College World Series before being eliminated by Arkansas. Levu was one of two Bruins to receive Gold Glove selections this season.

On the offensive side of the ball, Levu hit for a .320 average with 15 doubles, 12 home runs and 85 RBI.

Second Base: AJ Singer (Oregon State)

Oregon State‘s AJ Singer was named a Gold Glove recipient in his first season of Division I baseball. Singer transferred to Corvallis after playing two seasons at Iowa Western Community College, where he was named All-League Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman and Second-Team All-American his sophomore season. This season, Singer made 75 putouts and 170 assists to just two errors (.992%).

On the offensive side of the ball, Singer hit for a .312 average with 10 doubles, three home runs and 39 RBI.

Shortstop: Roch Cholowsky (UCLA)

Cholowsky, who remains the early favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft, has the makings of the next MLB All-Star to have been named a Gold Glove recipient. At shortstop this season, the Big 10 Player of the Year made 120 putouts and 187 assists with just seven errors (.978%).

On the offensive side of the ball, Cholowsky hit for a .353 average with 19 doubles, 23 home runs and 74 RBI.

Third Base: Brady Counsell (Kansas)

The 2025 All-Big 12 Honorable Mention was vacuum at the hot corner for a Kansas program that made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014. Counsell made 69 putouts and 51 assists while making just one error all season (.992%).

On the offensive side of the ball, Counsell hit for a .259 average with 11 doubles, 12 home runs and 57 RBI.

Outfield: RJ Austin (Vanderbilt)

Vanderbilt outfielder RJ Austin had a monster season for the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, as he was named to both the SEC All-Tournament Team and SEC All-Defensive Team along with his Gold Glove selection. In center field, Austin made 138 putouts to just two errors this season (.986%).

On the offensive side of the ball, Austin hit for a .257 average with 15 doubles, 2 home runs and 42 RBI.

Outfield: Caleb Shpur (UConn)

Shpur was just one of two Gold Glove Award recipients to play for teams that failed to make the NCAA Tournament this season (Westenburg). The First Team All-Big East selection led the entire country with 19.66 defensive runs saved and made 174 putouts with ZERO errors this season.

On the offensive side of the ball, Shpur hit for a .363 average with 10 doubles, 8 home runs and 44 RBI.

Outfield: Conner Westenburg (McNeese State)

The Porter, TX native was a no-doubter selection to both the 2025 All-Southland Conference First Team and 2025 Southland Conference All-Defensive Team. In center field, Westenburg made 123 putouts with just two errors (.985%).

On the offensive side of the ball, Westenburg hit for a .332 average with 9 doubles, 7 home runs and 33 RBI.

Pitcher: Hunter Elliott (Ole Miss)

Ole Miss redshirt-junior left-handed pitcher Hunter Elliott was the pitcher selection for the 2025 Gold Glove Award. The 2025 NCBWA Third Team All-American made six putouts and 20 assists with three errors (.897%) on the mound this season.

Elliott boasted a 2.94 ERA in 85 2/3 innings with 102 strikeouts this season for Mike Bianco’s team.
