The recruitment of Gautier, Miss. native and Saraland (Ala.) High three-star wide receiver Dillon Alfred has had an SEC flavor to it thus far. That’s not set to change, either.

As the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder continues to look for his home at the college level, he’s beginning to lock in his official visits. On Monday, he announced via social media that he’ll take OVs to Missouri (June 7) and Arkansas (June 21).

In the post, Alford left question marks next to the weekends of May 31 and June 14, implying that he’s looking to set officials with two more programs:

Alfred has been to both Columbia and Fayetteville once each so far in 2024. He made Junior Day visits to both programs, as well as Ole Miss and Auburn. No program has had him on campus more than the Rebels.

Earlier this month, Alfred also told Inside Texas that he’s planning to be in Austin on April 20 to attend Texas‘ spring game. The Longhorns currently own a commitment from Alfred’s high school teammate, four-star quarterback K.J. Lacey.

Alfred is the No. 382 overall prospect and No. 60 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 17 player in Alabama.

Last season for Saraland, Alfred played in 12 games and caught 35 passes for 586 yards and six scores. He played alongside Five-Star Plus+ WR and Alabama signee Ryan Williams — the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. Alfred will have a chance to break out even further as a senior later this year.

Alfred talks interest from other SEC programs

Alfred has certainly made the most of his recruiting process thus far. Over 10 schools have had him on campus, all of whom are heavy-hitting programs. Last fall, he made trips to Tennessee and Georgia — another pair of schools that could be in the mix for official visits this summer.

“I enjoyed it, man,” Alfred said to Volquest of his October trip to Tennessee. “It feels like home up here. That is why I come up here so much because I have been up here so many times. Me and my family have a great time every time we come up here.”

“I’ve been to Georgia before now, and yesterday and before it’s always been love,” Alfred told DawgsHQ in November. “A lot of the discussion we had was about the high school season and how I’m doing and what I think about the game.”

In total, Alfred has reported offers from 13 Power Four schools: Ole Miss, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Penn State, UCF, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Houston.
