2028 Rivals100 OT Jamarios Canton is pushing 20 offers, including Alabama, Florida and LSU

After thinking it over for about a year, Jamarios Canton made the leap from Center (Texas) to national powerhouse IMG Academy. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle is excited to compete against the talent and be coached by the coaches in Bradenton (Fla.).
The No. 24 prospect in the 2028 Rivals100 is already pushing 20 scholarship offers.
Canton’s first offer came from Arkansas shortly after his freshman season, followed by Florida the very next day. He picked up others after camp performances, including Texas, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State, and LSU.
His has plenty of big offers already, but there are still a few programs he’s eyeing.
“I still want offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, and Tennessee,” Canton told Rivals.
Each visit went well for the four-star over the summer, but out of the schools he’s worked with so far, LSU stands out most.
“Coach Brad Davis coached me hard,” Canton said. “Outside of football, we had some great conversations too. I like that relationship, the way he coaches is what I am looking for and want to get back for a game this season.”
One of LSU’s biggest games each season is when they play the Crimson Tide. Growing up, Canton’s dream school was Alabama, largely because of its tradition and standout players.

“It was a dream come true,” Canton said of the Alabama offer. “Some of the players made me like them — they’ve had a lot of great running backs. Tyler Booker was a dog. They have a great background.
“I always wanted that offer and worked for it. Coach Kap (Chris Kapilovic) offered me, and it was great working with him. He taught me a lot. It was a great experience over there.
Surprisingly, Canton has never attended a college football game — but that will change this fall. He plans to visit at least Florida and LSU for game-day experiences around IMG Academy’s national schedule.
“I like Florida too. I have not been there yet, but I know it is a great program and I plan on getting there for a couple of games this season.”
