Three-star Pike Road (Ala.) running back Quinshon Judkins announced Auburn, Notre Dame and Ole Miss as his final three schools Monday in a video on Twitter.

Judkins is one of the best running backs in Alabama, where he was an all-state player as a junior.

Judkins had previously announced a top seven in April, which included Florida, Michigan, Penn State and Yale.

Quinshon Judkins is fresh off visits to Notre Dame, Ole Miss

Quinshon Judkins spent the past two weekends on the road. He was in South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 11 for the Fighting Irish’s tight victory over Toledo. This past Saturday, he was in Oxford, Miss., to watch Ole Miss blowout Tulane.

Quinshon Judkins had previously visited Ole Miss and Auburn, which is less than an hour east of Pike Road on I-85, over the summer.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back has not posted anything from his most recent visit to Oxford, which was his third time visiting the school since June. But he did a post a video with head coach Lane Kiffin during his visit at the end of July.

If Quinshon Judkins joins the Fighting Irish, he would join an “elite” recruiting class that includes 13 players ranked in the On300.

Notre Dame’s No. 2-ranked class does have another running back recruit in four-star Jadarian Price of Denison (Tex.).

Auburn also has a four-star running back recruit in Woodward (Atlanta) Academy’s Damari Alston.

Ole Miss does not yet have a commitment from a running back recruit.

What makes Judkins special?

Quinshon Judkins missed the first few games of this season with a hamstring injury. He returned two weeks ago and demonstrated his health and skill in a four-touchdown performance last Friday.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said Judkins is productive and efficient running the football. He is excited to see how Judkins plays the rest of the season on a good Pike Road team.

“Quinshon Judkins is a versatile, productive running back prospect,” Power said. “He has good vision in running between the tackles and is shows toughness and contact balance with his ability to run through contact at the second level. Judkins is a strong pass-catcher out of the backfield and should be a natural in passing situations and playing in a two-minute offense. His initial burst and long speed are adequate, but are areas where he can continue to improve.”
