Brookline (Mass.) Dexter School four-star interior offensive lineman Liam Andrews has long been sought after as one of the top recruits in the country. Now a decision on his end will be announced in the upcoming days.

Andrews will make his college commitment decision on July 21 picking between Penn State, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

“These three schools made my final list due to the people at these programs and the relationships they’ve developed with me,” Andrews told On3. “All 3 programs have phenomenal head coaches, defensive line coaches, strength coaches, and other people. I have created strong relationships with all of these people which has really set them apart from the rest.”

Andrews is ranked as an offensive lineman but said the three schools who made his final are recruiting him as a defensive lineman at the next level.

Andrews noted that the July 21st date doesn’t have any significant meaning to him. He just feels ready and thinks that the time to reveal his decision is now.

“Among others the thing that really pushed this team to the top was the feeling I get whenever I step on campus,” said Andrews, the No. 61 player in the 2024 On300. “It is hard to describe but to put it simply whenever I’m there I feel at home.”

Andrews breaks down his final three

Penn State: “I love their emphasis on winning the Big 10 and a national championship. They finished 7th last season and I feel like they’re just a couple steps away for making a run for a national championship. I also love their defensive scheme and how it caters to my athletic and aggressive play style. Finally, I have begun to develop a good bond with Coach Barnes and think he is a great man and coach.”

South Carolina: “I like the recent success they have had against great competition. They have outperformed expectations one could say beating teams like Tennessee and Clemson. I love the culture Coach Beamer has created in the program it is very family and relationship oriented. Finally, Coach Robertson is a very good coach especially when it comes to breaking down the small details of DL play he is also a great person.”

Wisconsin: “I like the success in the development of players Coach Fickell and staff has had. I love the emphasis the program has on the big guys in the trenches. OL/DL play is taken very serious on their team. Finally, me and Coach Scruggs have developed a great bond he has been recruiting me hard and is a great man and coach.”
