4-star OT Grayson McKeogh names top three schools

Glenside (Penn.) La Salle College four-star offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh has been one of the hottest names on the recruiting trail this spring.
McKeugh recently picked up offers from Alabama, Texas and Florida — putting him over 25 in total. But now he’s ready to take the next steps in his process. On Friday, he named his top three schools: Texas, Penn State and Notre Dame.
Each of those will get an official visit next month as well, with the Nittany Lions hosting him June 6, followed by the Fighting Irish (June 13) and Longhorns (June 20).
Both of the Midwest programs have been fixtures in his recruitment, but Texas is a new entrant after an offer earlier this week. Offensive line coach Kyle Flood made his way up to Pennsylvania to visit him in person.
“Yeah, I mean it was really cool for a place like Texas to come all the way up here,” McKeogh told InsideTexas.com.
And despite the distance from home, the Longhorns are a program he has always kept his eye on.
“It’s been pretty cool to watch from afar, even all the way up here in Pennsylvania. Texas is a team you have no choice, but to take notice of,” he added.

Notre Dame, Penn State have been setting the pace for McKeogh
His other two finalists could be hard to beat out, though. Penn State is only a few hours from home, and McKeogh has been on their campus on numerous occasions.
“Just the culture that the coaches have built and all the players, really respect them and are all bought in,” McKeogh told On3’s Steve Wiltfong earlier this month.
The Fighting Irish give him similar feelings and are as good as any program at developing offensive linemen for the next level.
“Similar to Penn State, the atmosphere, academic piece, all of it is really cool,” McKeogh said of Notre Dame.
On3 tabs McKeogh as the nation’s No. 16 offensive tackle and No. 183 prospect overall.
