4-star RB Deshonne Redeaux sets commitment date

Los Angeles (Calif.) Oaks Christian running back Deshonne Redeaux has thought he was ready to make that call a couple of times over the last year, but he held off. He held off for the right time when he knew he was sure of his decision and that time is now.
“I will be announcing my commitment at a birthday celebration on April 5,” Redeaux told On3. “I am ready. The offers are here, I have taken a lot of visits and I know what is best for me.”
Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington are his top programs. He named in his top six schools in February. Redeaux is ready to reveal his decision.
“It came down to where I feel I can build my legacy, become a game-changer on and off the field and where I can make that early impact.”
As a junior for Oaks Christian, Redeaux ran for over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns. The Lions won nine games and finished as the No. 20 team in California, per the On3 Composite Rankings.
Redeaux is the No. 143 overall prospect and No. 13 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 17 player in California.
