Montgomery (Ala.) Montgomery Catholic Preparatory running back Jeremiah Cobb has cut his list down to six. The four-star back has turned his focus to Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas.

“These top six schools stand out to me because they are all great programs ran by amazing staff and coaches,” Cobb told On3. “These six schools all felt like home when I visited and they all showed me so much love. I really picked these schools because of the amazing relationships I have with the coaches and staff.”

Outside of Auburn and Tennessee, Cobb has visited each school in his list once. He has tripped to the Plains and Knoxville twice.

Cobb has locked in official visits to Clemson (June 3-5) and Tennessee (June 24-26). He is likely going to add a third official visit for the weekend of June 17.

How Jeremiah Cobb fits at each school will be a factor

A decision for Cobb is expected by the end of the summer. Relationships always plays a role in decisions, but there is another important factor.

“How Jeremiah is utilized in the offense is also a big part of it,” Catholic Prep head coach Kirk Johnson said. “The offense, how he fits into that, the level of competition, and relationships will be factors in his decision. … Each school on his list offers that.”

Former teammates TJ Dudley and Kylon Griffin signed with Clemson in 2022. Jourdan Thomas inked Tennessee, so Cobb has connections to two schools on his list.

Cobb is the No. 159 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is the sixth-ranked running back in the class behind Lehigh Senior (Fla.) four-star running back Richard Young, El Campo (Texas) four-star running back Rueben Owens, Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater four-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr., Roswell (Ga.) Buford four-star running back Justice Haynes and Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy Treyaun Webb.

Jeremiah Cobb currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $14.4k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
