Ryan Williams injury update: Missouri vs. Alabama Friday availability report revealed

Faurot Field will be the place for one of the biggest, highest-ranked games of Saturday’s schedule in college football with No. 8 Alabama vs. No. 14 Missouri. Now, with the final update tonight to the SEC Availability Report, we have a better idea of who’ll be taking the field for a Top-15 matchup between the Tide and Tigers tomorrow morning in CoMo.
The Southeastern Conference posted the latest update to the injury report tonight. That’s after an initial release on Wednesday before a first update to it on Thursday.
Here is that final update to the report from tonight for ‘Bama and Mizzou per the SEC:
Alabama Crimson Tide
- WR Jaylen Mbakwe – Out
- LB Qua Russaw – Out
- WR Jalen Hale – Out
- LB Jah-Marien Latham – Out
- LB Cayden Jones – Out
- DL Jeremiah Beaman – Out
- WR Ryan Williams – Probable
Missouri Tigers
- K Blake Craig – Out
- QB Sam Horn – Out
- OL Logan Reichert – Out
- OL Cayden Green – Questionable
From Wednesday to Thursday, Alabama saw one updated status on the report, as Mbakwe was downgraded from doubtful to out. Ryan Williams, though, remains probable for the game, with the Crimson Tide’s star receiver having caught 21 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns.

Missouri then didn’t see any changes this week from the first report to the second. Three players remained out for the Tigers, while Green remained questionable to play for them on their offensive line.
As a game between two teams at 5-0 and 4-1 respectively, as well as a conference game between two teams without a league loss yet, this could be a very important result both in the SEC and possibly with implications for the CFP. We’ll know more tomorrow, though, once Alabama and Missouri take the field at none in Columbia.
