Texas QB Arch Manning was heckled by Oklahoma fans on his way into the Cotton Bowl Saturday. Of course, that is to be expected for a hostile environment where both fanbases try to antagonize the other.

What’s funny about the moment captured on video is, the fan can be heard loud and clear. It wasn’t even a loud portion of the stadium area as Manning and teammates got off the bus.

You can see Manning walk in below and hear the heckler. No love lost between Texas and Oklahoma during Red River week!

“Arch you will never beat OU,” the fan shouted. “You would never make it at OU. You’ll never be us.”

Manning has had his moments this season. But with those positive ones, come negative plays as that is the story of Texas in 2025. At 3-2, the Longhorns went from preseason No. 1 to unranked following a loss to Florida last weekend.

Granted anything can happen in Red River, but Oklahoma seems to have the edge on paper, ranked No. 6 in the country and sitting at 5-0. Manning and the Longhorns can certainly change the narrative Saturday.

This season, Manning has 1,151 yards, 11 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 60% completion percentage. He also has 160 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Ahead of Manning’s first taste of Texas‘ rivalry game this weekend, College Football Hall of Famer Tim Tebow demanded that his O-line improve their protection on Friday’s edition of The Paul Finebaum Show. If that’s the case, perhaps Manning could have a field day.

“I think one of the things that we saw last week was a resilience and a toughness,” Tebow said. “He got hit a bunch. If we’re gonna focus on something, I think the start should be the offensive line. They have to protect him. You have to be able to give him time. You have a defense line for Florida that, when healthy, can be pretty dang good. But they dominated that game.

“They totally took the game over, and I don’t put all of that on Arch. I put a lot of that on the offensive line, and he’s got to have time to get it down the field. So I was really impressed with his toughness. Obviously, there are some plays he’d want back. There was a post-route he had for a touchdown, but he also was taking shot after shot after shot and he did a great job of getting right back up.”
