Arch Manning injury update: Latest revealed on Texas QB in Thursday report

DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium will be the site of a Top-20 matchup in the SEC on Saturday with Vanderbilt vs. Texas. But, after the first two months of the season, it’ll be the Commodores, not the Longhorns, who come in as the Top-10 team in the game.
The first edition of the SEC Availability Report dropped on Wednesday night, including for Vanderbilt vs. Texas. This is now the first update to that report, with another to come tomorrow night before kickoff this weekend.

Here is Thursday night’s update to the SEC Injury Report for the Commodores and the Longhorns:
Texas Longhorns
- QB Arch Manning – Questionable
- DB Michael Taaffe– Questionable
- EDGE Lance Jackson – Probable
- OL Cole Hutson – Probable
Vanderbilt Commodores
- DL Yilanan Ouattara – Out
- QB Drew Dickey – Out
- RB Chase Gillespie – Out
- DB Vanzale Hinton – Out
- DL Nikhil Jefferson – Out
Texas is the team has the biggest question marks going into Saturday’s game. That obviously starts with the status of Arch Manning, who came out of their last game with a concussion and has been in protocol during this week. Michael Taaffe is then also questionable as he rehabs from a thumb injury which he had surgery on. Both of those players, according to Steve Sarkisian, have practiced this week, with them still questionable, though, along with Jackson and Huston.
Vanderbilt is then simple. The Commodores also had five players on the report, and all of them are already designated as out for this weekend’s matchup.
