Behren Morton injury update: Latest on Texas Tech QB ahead of Oklahoma State

Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton is expected to be listed as questionable on the Big 12 injury report on Wednesday night ahead of Oklahoma State, sources tell On3. Morton missed last week’s game against Arizona State after re-injuring his right knee the previous week against Kansas.
Morton remains day-to-day, sources have told On3. With Morton sidelined, Texas Tech dropped its first game of the 2025 season at Arizona State. The loss dropped the Red Raiders to 6-1 on the season and seven spots to No. 14 in the AP Top 25.
With Morton sidelined against the Sun Devils, backup Will Hammond started in his place. He finished 22 of 37 for 167 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. The redshirt freshman also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. It was Hammond’s first start of the year. He led a drive to a 22-19 lead for Texas Tech, but Arizona State answered in the final two minutes to seal a win.
Morton has dealt with injuries throughout the season. He injured his right knee initially in a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, but it did not sideline him. He also exited the Utah win when he took a hit to the neck area.
