Big 12 announces 12 pm ET kickoff for 2025 conference championship game

The Big 12 announced its 2025 conference championship football game will kick off at noon ET on Saturday, Dec. 6 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game will be televised on ABC.
The 24th Big 12 Championship Game will be the 11th straight held inside the home of the Dallas Cowboys. That includes twice in 2009 and 2010 when it was still called Cowboys Stadium.
Last year’s Big 12 Championship game was the second-consecutive blowout, with 15th-ranked Arizona State and RB Cam Skattebo routing 16th-ranked Iowa State, 45-19, in front of an in-person audience of less than 56,000 people. That was the Big 12 championship game’s smallest crowd since the 2020 COVID season and fewest ever (not counting the 2020 season) for the game inside AT&T Stadium.
The year prior, No. 7 Texas rolled over 18th-ranked Oklahoma State, 49-21. It was the Longhorns’ final season before joining the SEC. Then, the Big 12 football title game had a record attendance of 84,523 people.
Among the Big 12’s current membership, Colorado and Kansas State are tied for the league lead with four all-time appearances in the conference championship game. Meanwhile, half of the new-look Big 12 has never appeared in the league title game: Arizona, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, Kansas, Texas Tech, UCF, Utah and West Virginia.
Arizona State, Kansas State, and Texas Tech currently have the best betting odds at +600 to win the Big 12 championship, according to FanDuel. Baylor and Utah are just behind them at +650.
