Night one of the ACC/SEC Challenge is complete, with the ACC getting out of a commanding lead. The SEC is looking to roar back on Wednesday and find a way to take back-to-back titles. Either way, results are going to change the landscape across college basketball.

CBS Sports has decided to update the top 25 and 1, providing the latest edition on Wednesday. Changes come throughout due to the ACC/SEC Challenge and other nonconference games across the country.

The first few actually are in neither the ACC nor SEC. But we can get things underway down in the desert with Tommy Lloyd‘s bunch.

1. Arizona Wildcats

Arizona finds itself in the middle of a week off. After taking down Norfolk State on Saturday, it’s a seven-day hiatus until taking the court once again.

Lloyd has already seen his team put together massive resume-building wins, hence the No. 1 spot in the top 25 and more. Two more are coming in the immediate future: Alabama and Auburn.

2. Purdue Boilermakers

Six teams got conference play underway in the Big Ten on Tuesday night. Purdue was one of them, tasked with a road game in Piscataway.

No problem for the Boilermakers, continuing an undefeated start to the regular season. They figure to be as tough an out as any in college basketball this season.

3. Michigan Wolverines

Michigan continues to get love from the national media. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi recently named them the No. 1 overall seed in his latest Bracketology. Now, the Wolverines keep their top-three spot in the top 25 and 1.

Head coach Dusty May felt good about his team coming into the season. Everyone in Ann Arbor is thinking about the Final Four, with early results showing it might be a possibility.

4. UConn Huskies

Tuesday’s game of the day resided in Lawrence, KS. UConn made its second-ever trip to Phog Allen Field House and was one of the rare visitors to walk away with a win.

Four different Huskies were in double-figures, despite shooting less than 30% from three. No matter the box score, a massive victory for UConn bumps them up to No. 4.

5. BYU Cougars

BYU was another Thanksgiving Day participant, playing Miami in South Florida. The journey for true freshman AJ Dybantsa continues to be a great one, currently averaging 19.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

His play alone makes it easy to see why BYU is a top-five team at the moment. More to come for Kevin Young‘s squad, looking to make a run the program will remember for a long time.

6. Duke Blue Devils

All the way at No. 6, we find our first ACC/SEC Challenge participant. Duke hosted the most intriguing game of the event thus far, welcoming Florida to Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The defending national champions put up a good fight, only for Duke to prevail in the final moments. A nice result for the Blue Devils but no movement in the top 25 and 1.

7. Louisville Cardinals

Louisville is set to face off against an old friend on Wednesday. A trip to Bud Walton Arena means John Calipari is on the other side, a coach Cardinals fans are all too familiar with.

Wins have begun to stack up for Pat Kelsey this season, mainly with two rivalry games. Louisville starts a tough stretch before getting to the ACC, beginning in Fayetteville.

8. Iowa State Cyclones

The results came without a title but Iowa State did leave Las Vegas and the Players Era Festival with three victories. All against teams with high expectations of their own down the road.

Since then, it’s been a quiet time for the Cyclones. Things ramp right back up in a big way on Saturday due to a trip to Mackey Arena.

9. Michigan State Spartans

Tom Izzo also saw his team face a Big Ten opponent on Tuesday. Unlike Purdue, Michigan State started at home, facing Iowa. Routine as you’d like for the Spartans, winning by 19.

The hits keep on coming, though. Duke is set to come to the Breslin Center for just the third time this century, pairing together two of the sport’s blue bloods.

10. Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga was on track for a fantastic Players Era Festival, beating Alabama and Maryland to start. However, a championship loss to Michigan by 40 sank them way down in the top 25 and 1.

The Bulldogs hang onto their top 10 ranking, for now. Mark Few takes his team to Bridgestone Arena on Friday for a neutral-site matchup that will basically be a road atmosphere with Big Blue Nation in the house.

11. Alabama Crimson Tide
12. North Carolina Tar Heels
13. Houston Cougars
14. Kansas Jayhawks
15. Illinois Fighting Illini
16. Texas Tech Red Raiders
17. Tennessee Volunteers
18. Arkansas Razorbacks
19. Nebraska Cornhuskers
20. Indiana Hoosiers
21. Auburn Tigers
22. Vanderbilt Commodores
23. St. John’s Red Storm
24. USC Trojans
25. Kentucky Wildcats
